The 2027 Hyundai Palisade comes in six trims: SE, SEL, SEL Premium, XRT Pro, Limited and Calligraphy, from $39,735 to $56,860 with the 287-hp V6. SE vs SEL: Is the Upgrade Worth $2,505?
Yes, for most buyers. The SE ($39,735) is the only eight-seat-only trim and the only one without heated seats; it keeps cloth upholstery and manual front seats. The SEL ($42,240) adds H-Tex synthetic leather, an eight-way power driver's seat, heated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging and a hands-free liftgate, and it lets you choose seven seats with second-row captain's chairs or eight with a bench. The SEL is also the least expensive way into the Palisade Hybrid.

SEL vs SEL Premium: What Does $3,360 Add?
The SEL Premium ($45,600) is where the Palisade starts to feel premium. It adds ventilated front seats, heated and ventilated second-row captain's chairs, a power passenger seat, driver's seat memory, a heated steering wheel, a sunroof, Surround View and Blind-Spot View Monitor, 64-color ambient lighting and Digital Key 2. The 360-degree camera and the blind-spot cameras are the features you will use every day parking on a Brooklyn block.
SEL Premium vs Limited: Is Leather and a Power Third Row Worth $4,470?
The Limited ($50,070) adds leather seats, a power-folding and reclining third row with heated seats, a power walk-in second row, a dual-pane sunroof, Bose premium audio, acoustic side glass and 20-inch wheels. If you fold the third row often or carry adults back there, the power-folding seats and the quieter cabin justify the price; if not, the SEL Premium already has the features most families want.
Palisade Limited vs Calligraphy: Which Should You Buy?
Choose the Limited unless your second-row passengers matter as much as you do. The Calligraphy costs $4,790 more ($54,860 against $50,070 with FWD, and the same gap with the hybrid) and focuses on comfort and driver assistance: Nappa leather, Ergo-Motion front seats with a relaxation mode and leg extension, power-adjustable second-row seats with their own relaxation mode, a 12-inch head-up display and 21-inch wheels. It is also the only trim with Highway Driving Assist II, Remote Smart Parking Assist, a built-in front and rear dash cam and a full-display rearview mirror. Both trims have the same engines, Bose audio, dual-pane sunroof and power third row.
Is the Calligraphy Black Ink different?
The Calligraphy Black Ink is a hybrid-only version of the Calligraphy with black exterior trim and badging and black 21-inch wheels, for $500 more ($57,680 FWD, $59,680 AWD).

What Is the Palisade XRT Pro?
The XRT Pro ($50,170) is the off-road Palisade, offered only with the V6 and HTRAC AWD. It rides 8.4 inches off the ground against 7.4 for other trims, with all-terrain tires, an electronic limited-slip differential, steeper approach and departure angles, Bose audio and a factory tow hitch for 5,000 pounds. It costs $2,570 more than an SEL Premium AWD but skips that trim's ventilated second-row seats, and its 19 mpg combined is the lowest in the lineup. The XRT shown in the photos on this page has the current Palisade body; for 2027 the rugged-styled Palisade is sold as the XRT Pro, with real off-road hardware. The previous-generation Palisade XRT trim ended with the 2025 model year.

Palisade Hybrid Trims: Is the Hybrid Worth $2,320 More?
For city driving, yes. Every hybrid costs $2,320 more than the matching V6 trim and brings 42 more horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. The Blue SEL and Blue SEL Premium with FWD are the efficiency pick at 34 mpg combined. The hybrid tows 4,000 pounds, 1,000 less than the V6, and is not offered on the SE or XRT Pro.
| Version | Gallons a year | Cost a year |
|---|---|---|
| V6 FWD (22 mpg) | 545 | $2,400 |
| V6 AWD (20 mpg) | 600 | $2,640 |
| Hybrid Blue SEL / SEL Premium FWD (34 mpg) | 353 | $1,553 |
| Hybrid Limited / Calligraphy FWD (31 mpg) | 387 | $1,703 |
| Hybrid AWD (30 mpg) | 400 | $1,760 |
With AWD, the hybrid saves about $880 a year, so it pays back its $2,320 premium in under three years.

The SEL Premium, at $45,600 with FWD or $47,600 with AWD. The Hybrid SEL Premium AWD ($49,920) adds 30 mpg combined.

How many seats does the Palisade have, and how roomy is the third row?
The SE seats eight. The SEL, SEL Premium and Limited come with seven seats and second-row captain's chairs or eight with a bench; the XRT Pro and Calligraphy seat seven. Third-row legroom is 32.1 inches, and cargo space is 19.1 cubic feet behind the third row, 46.3 behind the second and 86.7 with both rows folded.
