Published October 27, 2026 · Last updated October 27, 2026

The 2026 Hyundai Tucson trim levels run from the $29,700 SE to the $48,900 Plug-in Hybrid Limited: six gas trims, six hybrid trims and two plug-in hybrids. The SEL adds heated front seats, a power driver's seat, dual-zone climate and a hands-free power liftgate for $1,350 over the SE. The SEL Premium adds a sunroof, a digital gauge cluster and wireless charging; the Limited adds leather, a panoramic sunroof, Bose audio and a 360-degree camera. The XRT brings rugged styling and a tow hitch, and the Tucson N Line is no longer offered new. Here is what each trim adds and which one is the best value for drivers in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island and across New York City.
Which Tucson Trim Should You Buy?

What's the Difference Between the Tucson SE and SEL?
The SEL adds heated front seats, a power driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate and a hands-free power liftgate for $1,350, plus 18-inch alloys, roof rails and rear vents. The SE ($29,700) already has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Smart Cruise Control, lane centering, automatic emergency braking and blind-spot warning, so it is a complete car; the SEL ($31,050) is the one most New Yorkers will want by January. Every gas Tucson uses the same 187-hp 2.5-liter engine and eight-speed automatic and is rated 25/33/28 mpg with front-wheel drive and 24/30/26 with AWD, an extra $1,500 on any gas trim (EPA).
What Do the Tucson SEL Plus, SEL Premium and SEL Convenience Add?
The SEL Plus adds 19-inch alloys and leatherette seats for $500; the SEL Premium adds a sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, wireless charging, navigation, Digital Key and Highway Driving Assist; and the SEL Convenience is now a hybrid-only trim. The SEL Plus ($31,550) joined the 2026 lineup (Edmunds). The SEL Premium ($34,050) replaced the gas SEL Convenience for 2026. The Hybrid SEL Convenience ($35,250) adds the digital cluster, H-Tex seats, ambient lighting and wireless charging to the Hybrid SEL AWD for $1,000. If you are comparing a used 2025 Tucson SEL Convenience against a Limited, the Convenience is roughly today's SEL Premium.
Is the Tucson Limited Worth It Over the SEL?
The Limited ($39,675) is the top gas Tucson and is worth it if you park on tight streets every day and want the cameras and comfort features; otherwise the SEL Premium is the better buy for $5,625 less. The Limited adds leather, a panoramic sunroof, a power passenger seat, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and steering wheel, Bose audio and the full parking package: Surround View Monitor, Blind-Spot View Monitor and parking collision-avoidance assist. Above it sit the Hybrid Limited ($42,425) and Hybrid Night ($42,925) with the same equipment, and the Plug-in Hybrid Limited ($48,900), the most expensive Tucson.

Is There a 2026 Tucson N Line? (Discontinued) — Meet the XRT
No. Hyundai does not list a Tucson N Line on its 2026 price sheet, and Edmunds notes the hybrid N Line was dropped for 2026. A used N Line brings sportier styling, unique wheels and sport seats with the same powertrains as other Tucsons. The current styled trim is the XRT ($33,725 FWD, $35,225 AWD), which adds XRT wheels, black cladding and exterior trim, upgraded roof rails, a tow hitch, H-Tex seats and ambient lighting. Edmunds lists styling, the hitch and interior upgrades rather than off-road hardware, so think of it as the look-and-tow package; AWD is still a $1,500 option.

Which Tucson Hybrid Trim Should You Buy: Blue vs SEL vs Limited?
The Hybrid Blue SE ($32,800), for most buyers: it comes with AWD and is rated 38 mpg combined, while the AWD Hybrid SEL costs $34,250 and is rated 36. The $32,750 Hybrid SEL that looks similarly priced is front-wheel drive, so the like-for-like choice is Blue SE AWD against SEL AWD: $1,450 more for the SEL's heated seats, power driver's seat and power liftgate, and 2 mpg less. Every Tucson Hybrid uses a 1.6-liter turbo hybrid with 231 hp and a six-speed automatic, so it is quicker than the gas Tucson as well as thriftier. The Hybrid SE ($31,300) is the cheapest way into a Tucson Hybrid, with front-wheel drive, and the Limited ($42,425) and Night ($42,925) bring full Limited equipment.
| Version | Gallons a year | Cost a year |
|---|---|---|
| Tucson gas FWD (28 mpg) | 429 | $1,886 |
| Tucson gas AWD (26 mpg) | 462 | $2,031 |
| Tucson Hybrid SEL / Limited (36 mpg) | 333 | $1,467 |
| Tucson Hybrid Blue SE (38 mpg) | 316 | $1,390 |
At 12,000 miles a year and $4.40 a gallon, the Hybrid Blue SE saves about $640 a year over a gas Tucson AWD, so its $1,600 premium over a gas SE AWD pays back in about two and a half years.

What Are the Tucson Plug-in Hybrid Trims?
There are two, the Plug-in Hybrid SEL ($40,675) and Limited ($48,900), both with AWD. Each makes 268 hp from a 1.6-liter turbo and a 13.8-kWh battery, runs about 32 miles on electricity, and is rated 77 MPGe on electricity and 35 mpg on gas. If you can charge at home or work, most weekday trips around the city can be electric. The battery trims cargo space to 31.9 cubic feet behind the rear seat and 66.3 folded, against 38.7 and 74.8 in other Tucsons.
Which Tucson Trim Is the Best Value?
The Hybrid Blue SE: standard AWD, 38 mpg combined and 231 hp for $32,800, only $1,600 more than a gas SE AWD. If you want a gas Tucson, the SEL ($31,050) adds the heated seats and power liftgate most buyers want, and the SEL Premium ($34,050) is the sweet spot for tech.
